    This is one of my class reading articles and I decided to come here to watch them. This is really sad that they did not know what will happened, successful in launching to space but fail to reenter the earth. NASA failed to develop the space station that costly which was not approved. Despite the lack of budget, NASA wanted to expand it space flight which determined to develop the columbia space shuttle on economic ground. I learned that this crews were all perished along with the columbia space shuttle. The final mission of columbia and the final mission of this crews that were not able to make it to land to earth which less than a minute. Salute to their determination 100% and may God bless them and their family who are left behind. The incident happened in February 1, 2003, after the 16 days in space. This is the second failure for NASA since in January 28, 1986, when Challenger set out on the space shuttle program's 25th mission. The 73 seconds after launch, the Challenger and its 7 crews members were all perished in a burned of hydrogen and oxygen propellants.

    Man, that thing looked terrible right before launch. All kinds of wear all over the ship. Wasn't it the original space shuttle? I think what happened proves they used it one too many times, or that they should've done a better job restoring it before sending up seven brave souls to die in it.

    • @easternyellowjacket276
      @easternyellowjacket276 3 года назад

      The shuttle isn't what failed. It was the foam on the tank that failed and broke off, damaging the wing. The same can be said with Challenger. Challenger didn't fail, the O-ring in the reusable booster failed. The shuttle was sound. The delivery rocket system failed in both instances.

      @@easternyellowjacket276 It was honestly a major design flaw to strap the orbiter to the side of the ET. The Shuttle concept was great on paper but terribly excecuted.

    • @easternyellowjacket276
      @easternyellowjacket276 3 года назад

      @@pixel6698 The Shuttle concept was great on paper and executed well. It was the propulsion components (orings) and fuel system that was poorly executed. Be that as it may, the Challenger at sub freezing temperatures should have never launched. The Orings were designed to work down to 50 degrees or so. They launched when they were frozen.

    • @marlonisaac1
      @marlonisaac1 3 года назад

      The shuttle wasn't smooth and shiny like a 747 would be. It was wrapped in a quilt type thermal protection giving it that weathered look. The shuttles were completely gone through after every mission.

      @@deathstar754 What exactly happened?

    • @deathstar754
      @deathstar754 3 года назад

      @@ppus2031 A large piece of foam from the external fuel tank fell off (due to the violence of takeoff) and struck the side of the shuttle's left wing right where the heat protective carbon-carbon shielding edge was. Because of the blazing speed of the vehicle as it was ascending, the foam hit the orbiter's wing with great force, leaving a hole on the edge of the wing. This hole in the thermal protection system was what allowed thousands of degrees of heat and pressure to infiltrate the shuttle, thus resulting in the loss of the vehicle upon reentry.

    A Proud Veteran. 15 Battlestars! More than any other Battleship. In her first action, when she opened fire with all her anti-aircraft guns, so heavy was fire & smoke of those guns, the Admiral leading the task force sent her a simple message.... "Are you on fire?" They had never before seen that kind of firepower! There were a total of TEN "Fast Battleships" built just before & during WW2; 2 North Carolina class. 4 South Dakota class. 4 Iowa class. (Almost 5! Kentucky was 80% complete at war's end. They should have finished her.) But North Carolina rewrote the book. Literally! My deepest RESPECT to this great ship, & ALL who made her come alive; A ship is only as good as her crew.

    Funny story. I have always been drawn into the paranormal world since i was a real little. I'm 21 now. I stayed at the Galvez only twice in my life and each time I can't figure anything out. First time was for my grandparents 50th anniversary they took the family on a cruise. that was 10 years ago, I was around 12 years old or younger. I remember walking down the hall with my mom and hearing kids run up behind us and nothing being there. Last year my stepmoms family and I were going on a cruise and we stayed there again and not knowing what floor and room we had until we got in the elevator. I was on the 5th floor room 503. so right next to the haunted rooms. 1. I don't understand why they have so many mirrors. 2. I slept between my brother and my sister. 3. I felt things I swear I couldn't explain
